oday's ever increasing awareness of how we are impacting our environment and realizing we only have one planet, and its care is up to us. BlueTek Solutions is making a conscious decision to do our part and keep our carbon foot print to a minimum. A growing number of people feel there is a problem with our planet's environment. We are aware that our data centers' emissions and power consumption is contributing to the problem. While we don't have the absolute answers, we are committed to finding solutions that will make the planet we all share a better place to live. It's going to take industry leaders like BlueTek Solutions to work towards more common goals that impact our world and discovering environmentally friendly ways of doing things.Working with partners like Rackspace, NativeEnergy and The Green Grid, BlueTek Solutions is aggressively working toward the goal of being a greener company. We understand it's not going to happen overnight, but by dealing with the problem and educating our clients and employees, we are taking the first step towards a cleaner and brighter tomorrow. BlueTek Solution is focusing our efforts in three areas.
Corporate Conservation

Carbon neutral web hosting is one of initiatives BlueTek Solutions is doing in conjunction with Rackspace and NativeEnergy is to offset carbon emissions produced by our servers. Another initiative we are implementing concerns the hardware we use to power our servers, by using Quad Core Intel Xeon L5335 processors that is more energy efficient with a Thermal Design Power TDP it consumes 37% less watts than the non low-voltage version. And by utilizing 2x73GB SAS SFF Drives (RAID), the 10K SFF 2.5" drive consumes approximately 20% less power (watts) than a 10K 3.5" drive. We are dedicated to energy conservation and exploring new alternative ways to conduct our business.
- BlueTek Solutions also implements several internal programs in their corporate offices to lower its carbon foot print, including recycling bins for plastic, aluminum and paper
- BlueTek Solutions is mulching and using non pesticide based chemicals for lawn care
- BlueTek Solutions has replaced all non-biodegradable products used in the offices like foam cups and plates to more eco-friendlier ones
- BlueTek Solutions uses only green certified office cleaning products. Providing recycled products in restrooms and kitchens, and using eco-friendly cleaning chemicals

Employee Education
- BlueTek Solutions realizes we can make a significant impact in our environment by simply educating our employees on how they can do their part to assist us in making the world a better place. BlueTek Solutions is currently planning its first "Green Day Event" which will be a company wide event held at both our east and west coast offices. It will be a day of educating our employees about recycling, conservation and other eco-friendly programs that will impact our environment; together we can all make a difference.
